Funny story involving Mr. Money:
My girlfriend called me up one day and said,
“Hey, my Mary has two extra tickets to a concert tonight. Not sure who it is, sounds like some funk band. Eddie. Money?”
I laughed all the way to the concert.

I’m not of a too older generation but I remember when the roller rink was shut down in my hometown and I went there for birthday parties, etc, it was a place to go.... Torn down and the lot is a shopping center now I think.

He was a staple on the radio growing up. The local classic rock radio played his stuff all way on my ride home today. There was a few I forgot about.

When he lived in Lafayette, California, we often saw him while out riding our bikes in Lafayette and Walnut Creek. He always acknowledged us when calling out his name. He sometimes picked up pizza at place where my buddies worked. They would call me up after he came in.
When he overdosed in 1980, my Mom was his ICU nurse during that part of his recovery. She said as he improved, his sense of humor came out and she thought he was hilarious.
Sad to see him go.

I know... I will always be a huge fan. I remember driving my first RX7 and jamming out to Baby Hold On and just jammmmmming. I did not know he OD’ed in 1980. Really?!?! He did?!

If you don’t blast Eddie Money on ear busting level while driving you ain’t doing it right. I drove to G’boro and back today and I am probably going to need to see a ENT doctor, lol.
